Shiksha Amrit is a non-profit charity based organization operating from CBD Belapur (Navi Mumbai), and is actively involved with education, health, food and various other welfare programmes for the urban poor and rural populace.

Our NGO came into existence to create a shelter of hope and trust for the neediest families dwelling amongst the urban slum communities and far flung rural areas.

We believe that everyone around us is full of capabilities, and the same applies to the ones belonging from such communities. Our purpose is to empower these souls so that they get to chase their dreams and finally accomplish them one day.

For quite some time now, Shiksha Amrit has taken care of children belonging from low-income communities across Maharashtra with proper education.

Along with education, we also intend to pursue social awakening goals by raising awareness about Environment Protection, Water Conservation, Technical and Soft Skills Development.

CHARITY FOR SKILL DEVELOPMENT

Under these projects, various initiatives are run concerning livelihood, employability, skill development, computer and digital literacy, language and communication skills, office culture oral and written communication skills, group behavior, grooming and etiquette, discussion and debates… many essential trainings are provided along with vocational skills for all age groups and gender. Career guidance and employment assistance is also provided to youngsters above 18 years.

Charity For Health

Starting with providing tuitions to slum children, Shiksha Amrit has grown into an outfit that can serve on multiple fronts simultaneously. By organizing various health and hygiene based workshops and awareness programmes, Shiksha Amrit tries to empower the underprivileged sections with right knowledge and global best practices to live a healthy life. From daily hygiene, age and gender-specific precautionary measures, to basic curative and recuperative practices to raising awareness about health checkups, a vast range of topics are covered with the help of experts from medical fraternity.

Charity for Livelihood & Skill Development

Shiksha Amrit Foundation strives to lead a movement concerning pecticides-free organic farming. It involves best trade practices - fair trade, safety, soil enrichment, ecological balance, local resource maximization, usage of organic fertilizer and biofuel. Currently, various awareness programmes are being conducted for facilitate discussions on the above.

Charity for Environment Protection

Shiksha Amrit conducts regular awareness programmes for all age groups on various aspects of environment protection. From recycling, plastic usage reduction, water conservation, rain water harvesting and solar energy applications. Domain experts are invited to hold talks and conduct programmes keeping in mind the profile of beneficiaries. Team Shiksha Amrit also spearheads sapling plantation drives, with a specified annual target of minimum 108 saplings. This is one the most popular initiatives of Shiksha Amrit as it draws participants from every walk of like –students, corporates, local entrepreneurs, social workers, general public and visitors.
